Overview:
In partnership with Toronto Bio-Eco City, and Bio-Eco Cities Canada, we are promoting the tree talks project. Tree Talks are fun, informal, circle gatherings of about 10-15 people at local parks or green spaces where the conversation focuses on different sustainability issues and solutions. The name “Tree Talk” comes from the fact that these discussions are meant to take place sitting under a tree. The Tree Talk topics are varied but are based on OBEC‘s 10 Themes of Sustainability. The topics are meant to connect participants to environmental issues, encourage sustainable living, and inspire gratitude for the Earth.
The goal of our sustainability tours is to showcase local environmental talent, whether that’s a local organization, individual, or entrepreneur, pursuing sustainability initiatives; Bring people together in informal conversation on relevant sustainability topics for the simple sake of inspiring, connecting, learning, and knowledge-sharing, in a friendly and open setting; and to give participants an opportunity to meet like-minded people, make friends and network.
